A domestic dispute on the day after Christmas ended in the arrest of a Sag Harbor man, Nicholas V. Depetris.

East Hampton Village

A Manhattan woman who owns a house on Georgica Road left Spa 27 on Montauk Highway after having been “pampered by the estheticians and massage therapists” on Dec. 20, a police report said. She forgot her multicolored Furla handbag, however, and back at the salon saw that it was gone from where she had left it. After a search, she and the manager found it in a garbage can in the women’s bathroom, minus $400 in cash. The manager told police that the spa had had many customers in and out that evening.

In light of a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated, an East Hampton man arrested Sunday morning for the same offense was charged with felony D.W.I.

East Hampton Town police said Segundo P. Quezada, 51, driving a 2004 Nissan X-Terra, was under the influence as he headed home on Springs-Fireplace Road around 1:15 a.m. An officer reportedly saw the car swerving and failing to signal as it turned onto West Drive, where Mr. Quezada lives. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, the officer said.

Amagansett

Electric lines to a house on Cranberry Hole Road, coming in from a street pole to the junction box, were cut sometime between Dec. 9 and Dec. 12, when a property manager reported the damage. Repairs were estimated at $4,000.

East Hampton

A mailbox, with its post, was thrown into woods just west of Sharon M. Gajajiva’s Oakview Highway residence on the night of Dec. 9. A police officer was able to put the mailbox, which was undamaged, back in place.

The owner of another Oakview Highway mailbox was not as lucky.

A building contractor was arrested on theft charges for allegedly stealing tools from Riverhead Building Supply on consecutive days last week.

East Hampton 

Spyridon Dimopoulous reported receiving a call on the afternoon of Dec. 6 from an unknown number, stating his oil service was to be disconnected. He was instructed to call the PSEG Storm Center at a number that turned out not to be connected to the utility. When he called, he was told he would have to pay $1,500. He offered some information but then realized it was a scam and called his bank immediately. Nothing had been compromised.

An 87-year-old man survived a rollover crash on Napeague Friday night after swerving to avoid a deer.

East Hampton

A green SSI Schaefer garbage bin was reported stolen from outside a Fieldview Lane residence on Nov. 28. Karen Saks told police she had discovered the theft the previous week and called her garbage hauler, but a representative said no one from the company had picked up the bin. It will cost $75 to replace, she said.

The owner of Ocean Graphics on Springs-Fireplace Road unfurled a banner advertising SeaDek, a nonskid material for boats, outside his business on the evening of Nov. 28.

Amagansett

Marvin Noel Yanes left a gold Samsung 7S cellphone on one of the counters at Brent’s General Store on Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. while shopping. He told police he forgot to pick it up when he left the store and that it was gone when he returned some 20 minutes later. The phone was valued at $840.

East Hampton

A 17-year-old East Hampton High School student called police from his nearby residence on the evening of Nov. 21, reporting that the screen on his Apple iPhone 6S Plus had been smashed, apparently by a fellow student that afternoon.

East Hampton Town police had a quiet Thanksgiving weekend on the roads, making three arrests from Nov. 23 until Tuesday on misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated.

Yard work turned leaf rage on the afternoon of Nov. 18 after one Springs neighbor accused another of blowing leaves onto his property.

A Montauk man needed 10 stitches to close a wound on his forehead after a man from Kingston, N.Y., alledgedly hit him with a beer bottle on Nov. 15 during a midnight altercation at Liar’s Saloon in Montauk.
