Fire and Ice at Sag’s HarborFrost

HarborFrost, the winter celebration hosted by the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday.

The day of events will begin with a culinary stroll of the village starting at Il Capuccino at 11:30 a.m., and end with a fireworks display over the harbor at 6:15 p.m. A “frosty plunge” into the bay will be held at Windmill Beach at 2 p.m. (registrations will be taken at the windmill at 1). Ice-carving demonstrations will take place at 2 p.m. along Main Street.

For music lovers, Alfredo Merat will perform at Lulu Kitchen and Bar at 2:30 p.m., and Jake Lear will perform at BuddhaBerry at 4 p.m. Keith Leaf, a fire juggler, will be at the windmill at 3 p.m., and the Fiery Sensations, a troupe of fire dancers, will perform at Long Wharf at 5:30 p.m.

For kids, there will be free face painting at Stella and Ruby’s from 2 to 4 p.m., indoor activities at Dodds and Eder from 2 to 5 p.m., and the characters Anna and Elsa from the movie “Frozen” will be on hand at the Sag Harbor Variety Store at 2:30 p.m.

The Wharf Shop will provide free glitter tattoos from noon to 3 p.m., and there will be a hot chocolate station, a photo booth, and more at the John Jermain Memorial Library from 1 to 4 p.m.
