Eric Miller, formerly of Miller’s BBQ, and Michael Gluckman, a longtime restaurateur hereabouts, have taken over the New Paradise. From challah French toast at brunch and lobster and clam rolls at lunch, the restaurant offers a solid and familiar dinner menu, with such dishes as stuffed clams or charred octopus for starters and a number of vegetarian entrees among standards at dinner. Most prices are moderate. Half a two-pound lobster was $19 as the season got started; steaks ranged from $36 to $49. Kids are welcome and get a drink and Cookie Monster dessert in addition to the usual entrees, for $10.
