Loaves and Fishes is in a small shack in a very good neighborhood, and is the model for takeout that can legitimately be called gourmet. Its creators, Anna Pump and Sybille Van Kempen, are said to have inspired Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. The shop set the bar for stratospheric prices, from lobster salad on down. A few of the recent offerings are peppers stuffed with hummus and vegetables, sorrel and leek soup, clams and sausage in parsley sauce, and fruit and berry tarts and tartlettes. Loaves and Fishes Cookshop, on Bridgehampton’s Main Street, is an offshoot, as is the Bridgehampton Inn and Cooking School. Ms. Pump is the author of four cookbooks.
