Please take notice that Athena Calderone has made application for a Natural Resources Special Permit pursuant to Section 255-4-20 of the East Hampton Town Code. That application has been found to be complete and ready for processing by the Planning Department. The application is to construct a 1,225 sq ft basketball court on a parcel of land containing freshwater wetlands.
The 54,660 square foot lot is located on 21 Robins Way in B & A2-Residential Zoning District and is designated on the Suffolk County tax map as #300-103-09-24.1. The project is classified as a Type II Action pursuant SEQRA and Chapter 128 of the Town Code.
The file for this project (application, maps, plans, etc.) may be reviewed weekdays between 1 and 4 p.m. at the Planning Department Office, 300 Pantigo Place, Suite 105, East Hampton, New York. Any person, corporation, organization or civic group may respond to this notice by filing, with the Planning Department within 20 days of the date of this notice, a written statement stating in detail specific areas of concern, objection or support for the application. If pertinent factual objections regarding the potential loss, diminishment or despoliation of the protected natural features which may result from the proposal are filed, which cannot be resolved by imposing conditions of approval, a public hearing may be scheduled. In the alternative, a conference may be held between the parties or the applicant may modify the proposed project to eliminate or mitigate the objections that are raised.

Application of Dunemere Lane Properties LLC, SCTM #301-9-4-6, for Area Variances from Section 278-3.A of the Village Code to expand second floor from 1,870 square feet to 1,910 square feet and to expand the third floor from 334 square feet to 898 square feet, a total increase of 604 square feet. The maximum gross floor area permitted is 10% of the lot area plus 1,000 square feet or 3,840 square feet. Section 278-2.B.(1) states that single-family residences having not more than two stories are permitted uses, therefore, the expansion of the preexisting nonconforming third floor requires relief. The subject property is 28,401 square feet in area and is located at 39 Dunemere Lane in Residence District R-40. The subject property is a contributing property in the East Hampton Village Historic District and is registered in the National Register of Historic Places.
