Barbecuing and grilling are the most basic, ancient, primal forms of cooking. Barbecuing entails a bit more work. It generally means slower cooking over an indirect fire for a longer period of time. It is ideal for larger, cheaper cuts of meat such as beef brisket, whole birds, leg of lamb, and pork butt.
