The Clam Bar at Napeague will open for the season at noon on Saturday, but on a weather-dependent basis. Customers have been encouraged to call the restaurant before heading out.

Wine Tasting
Park Place Wines and Liquors in East Hampton and BookHampton are teaming up to hold the latest in a free monthly series of wine tastings and discussions with Laura Donnelly, food editor of The East Hampton Star, this afternoon at 5:30. Ms. Donnelly will share her favorite recipes from “Joe Knows Fish,” a cookbook by Joe Gurrera, the owner of Citarella. Registration is by calling the store.

Beer Dinner
The Bridgehampton Inn will offer a four-course prix fixe dinner with beer pairings tomorrow. The menu, which will replace the regular dinner menu, includes an appetizer of kielbasa pierogi, and a meatloaf entree. The cost is $55 per person. A beer flight alone is $14. The restaurant’s weekly dinner special, available through Sunday, is arroz con pollo for $24.95. 

Cooking Workshop
As part of the Hamptons Arts Festival Weekend, or THAW Fest, the Southampton History Museum and the Amagansett Food Institute will hold a workshop on preparing raw foods at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Rogers Mansion in Southampton. Jack Formica, a farmer, forager, and the former chef at A.F.I.’s South Fork Kitchens Cafe, will lead the event, which will be followed by a tasting and an open house. The cost is $10.

This Week at the Eagle
The featured speaker at Wednesday’s A Night Out With event, a collaboration between the Golden Eagle Studio and Nick and Toni’s restaurant in East Hampton, will be Amy Wickersham, a mixed-media artist. The evening starts with a presentation at 5:30 at the Golden Eagle on North Main Street and continues with a two-course dinner at the restaurant next door. The cost is $75 and includes the class, dinner, tax, and tip. Advance registration is on the store’s website. Participants have until noon on Monday to register.

Restaurant Week Coming
Looking ahead to next weekend, more than a dozen eateries — from Montauk to Southampton — are taking part in the next East End Restaurant Week from March 31 through April 7. Participants offer $29.95 prix fixe specials, and discounts are also offered on lodging. A list of restaurants can be found at
