’Tis the Season
East Hampton Point, with a view over Three Mile Harbor, will reopen on Friday, April 6, and will serve dinner on Friday and Saturday beginning at 6 p.m.
In Montauk, the Dock will reopen tomorrow night. Oyster Pond, in downtown Montauk, has already opened its doors for the season, with some casual fare added to the menu. Oyster Pond opens at 3 p.m. and serves until 11 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Max Extends the Week
At Cafe Max, Hamptons Restaurant Week — a promotion running through Sunday with participating restaurants offering a $21.95 prix fixe special — will be extended an extra day, through Monday.
On Saturday, the Restaurant Week special is available only until 7 p.m. After that Cafe Max will offer it to diners all night for $27.95. Wine specials will be available as well, for an additional $2 per bottle.
Specials at Inlet
Sundays at Inlet Seafood in Montauk, there is an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 9 p.m. The cost is $14.95. Sunday brunch is served from noon to 4 p.m.
Thursday at Inlet, specialty drinks are half price, and a prime rib special costs $19.95. On Friday, there are two-for-one entrees and nori rolls. Inlet, which also has a sushi bar, is open Thursday through Sunday, serving lunch as well as dinner Friday through Sunday.
Cookie Decorating
Children can try their hand at cookie decorating at a free “Kids in the Kitchen” session at the Williams-Sonoma store in Bridgehampton on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon.
Hampton Chutney
Hampton Chutney in Amagansett has extended its hours. The Indian take-out shop is now open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Tuesday. Patrons can picnic outside the shop, as there is outdoor seating in Amagansett Square.
At the Lodge
Free appetizers are served at the bar at the Lodge in East Hampton during a 5 to 7 p.m. happy hour Friday, as well as Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m., when local real estate brokers have been invited to network and “trade tips.”
Also on Friday, to accommodate teachers who might want to unwind after a week at school, the bar opens at 3 p.m. for a special teachers’ happy hour.
A $25 prix fixe, available all night every night of the week at the Lodge, features a choice from among 25 menu items.
Brunch Special
The Southampton Inn has a new executive chef, Peter Dunlop, who worked previously at JL East in East Hampton and at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.
This weekend, the inn is including Sunday brunch as a $21.95 Hamptons Restaurant Week special. The brunch, three courses including numerous breakfast and lunch dishes, plus a complimentary cocktail and other drinks, will be served from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
