I.Y. Halsey's garage on Newtown Lane where the A&P now stands was built in 1907. In 1910 it was destroyed by fire, then rebuilt. Besides selling cars, the garage did a general repair business, fixing everything from bicycles to airplanes. Fritz Leddy
