Three Walkers

Three Walker family siblings will talk next week about growing up in Wainscott during the Depression and World War II, in the third installment of the Autumn Project video history series.

LTV's channel 27 will air the interview with Mattie Walker Smith, Henry Cortland Walker, and East Hampton Town Justice Roger W. Walker, all of whom are residents of Sayre's Path, on Monday at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday and next Thursday at 8:15 p.m.

The Autumn Project is produced by Julia C. Mead, The Star's news editor, and Kyril Bromley of Springs. It is designed to preserve the 20th-century history of East Hampton Town through video interviews with some of its native sons and daughters - old-timers with long memories.

The project is funded by the 350th Anniversary Committee.
