Vanished Places

Halsey's Garage once occupied the property where the A&P on Newtown Lane now stands. Operating for over 50 years, until July 1959 when it was sold, the garage repaired everything from bicycles to airplanes, in addition to being a Dodge-Plymouth agency. It was founded by the late I.Y. Halsey, who died in 1955.
