The Shagwong is a down-to-earth place, where the diner's appetite is honed by the rigorous workout it takes to get through the crowded bar to the dining room. It is popular with families, groups, and most of Montauk. The menu specializes in seafood - plenty of fresh fish, pistachio crusted salmon, and sea scallops right off the boats - but meat eaters will find what they want, including a tender sirloin steak and a popular pot roast. There is now an O.T.B. outpost on premises.
